Did you know that half of CENTURY 21 Award’s Executive Leadership Team is made up of women? So, why is this relevant? As we all know, March is Women’s History Month, a time we take to reflect and acknowledge the often-overlooked achievements in Women’s History. It’s not only a time to remember the past but to also stop and appreciate the present. This Women’s History Month, we are recognizing the accomplishments and success of our Women Leaders at CENTURY 21 Award.
As stated above, half of our Executive Leadership Team is made up of Women. They are as follows: Angela Avilez (Vice President), Dina Brannan (Vice President of Operations), and Nikki Coppa (Chief Compliance Officer). Let’s get to know these women and hear how they honor women every single day.
Angela Avilez, Vice President
How Angela Celebrates Women’s History Month: “We rise by lifting others”.
About Angela
Angela Avilez first joined CENTURY 21 Award in 2010 as a licensed Real Estate Agent. After consistent success on the agent side, Angela joined CENTURY 21 Award as a Branch Manager for the University City/La Jolla office in 2014. That same year, she was elected as President of the NAHREP San Diego Chapter. In 2017, Angela was brought on to the Executive Leadership Team for CENTURY 21 Award as Vice President. Her day-to-day is overlooking company growth opportunities and helping our agents build their business.
Her strongest leadership asset is being able to connect with our agents on a personal and professional level. As a Top Producing Agent herself, Angela knows more than anyone what it takes to successfully navigate through this industry. When our agents need to talk, Angela is always there for them.
Dina Brannan, Vice President of Operations
How Dina Celebrates Women’s History Month: “I used to think that there was only one seat at the table for a woman until I started working at CENTURY 21 Award. I know that there are as many seats as there are women willing to work for them. I think the more we bring each other up the more opportunities there are.”
About Dina
Before Dina Brannan was Vice President of Operations, she started as a Temp back in 2002. What was originally meant to be a six-month or less-long position eventually turned into Nineteen (and counting) wonderful years with CENTURY 21 Award. Thanks to her passion for real estate marketing, Dina was able to successfully launch our Studio A Marketing Department in 2020.
Dina’s strongest leadership asset is organization and communication within our corporate staff. With her direction, she has reorganized and built multiple departments from the ground up. She values the relationships between her and our employees, making her guidance a key part of our company’s success.
Nikki Coppa, Chief Compliance Officer
How Nikki Celebrates Women’s History Month: “Be deliberately & unapologetically authentic.”
About Nikki
Nikki Coppa first joined CENTURY 21 Award in 2016, where she was hired on as the Branch Manager of our Rancho San Diego office. Her great relationships with our agents and deep knowledge on the transaction sides contributed to her success. After two years, she became the Broker of Record for CENTURY 21 Award. In 2020, Nikki was named Chief Compliance Officer where she continues to educate agents and assist in transaction management.
Nikki’s strongest leadership asset has been her ability to put our agents first. She stays in the know with both national and local real estate boards to ensure our agents have the most up to date information. When it comes to real estate, there isn’t a question that our agents can’t ask Nikki. She makes herself available and continues to educate herself more so she can help them.
Without the direction of these three phenomenal women, our company and our agents would not be where it is today. We are thankful for our executive leadership team not just because of the way they lead but also for what they represent in our industry.
The success of women doesn’t stop just at our leadership team. You will find that the success has also carried over with our agents. We are pleased to share the stats of the women real estate agents of CENTURY 21 Award:
- 13 of the Top 21 (Agents) are women
- 23 out of the 44 CENTURION Award Winners and above are women
- 24 out of 36 Masters Level Award Winners are women
- 60 out of the Top 100 Agents are women
Our company culture here at CENTURY 21 Award is inclusive of everyone and we couldn’t be prouder. Looking back at these stats, it’s no wonder why we have been consistently recognized by CENTURY 21 as one of the top five franchises in the entire world. This Women’s History Month, we would like to take this time to recognize Women everywhere and say, Thank You!
